Mauricio Lizcano Arango is a Colombian lawyer and politician. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 2006, to the Senate in 2010, and re-elected again in 2014. He was elected President of the Congress for the period 2016-2017.

He has a specialization in Management, Government, and Public Affairs from Universidad Externado de Colombia in association with Columbia University. He
participated in the High Government Program at Universidad de los Andes, and completed a course in Business Administration and Technology at Cambridge Business College.

He also holds a Master's degree in Public Policy from Harvard University, a Master's degree in Business Administration -MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and graduated as an academic researcher from MIT.

Currently, he is the Director of the Administrative Department of the Presidency of the Republic of Colombia.
